School Update

Today, we will be going to our school's open house. I am starting to feel better about the kids going to school, and I am starting to get excited to have some (or a whole lot) of kid free time. I have huge plans, which I am sure I will fall short on, but like my Dad says, "It is better to shoot for the stars and miss, than to shoot for a cow pie and hit it dead on!" I got a call from our schools special education teacher, and I was able to discuss my fears with him. He is going to go to each of Allen's teachers, and help them know how to best help Allen be successful. The school seems very happy to help me out, and they have all been concerned about putting my fears at ease. I hope that I will continue to have a good experience with this school. I have to admit, I am still expecting the worst. Often when I get in this mind frame, things are never as bad as I expect them to be, and I end up pleasantly surprised. Hopefully that will happen here.
